All of our furniture is handmade to order in our small workshop. We
offer real, individual, handcrafted furniture at an affordable price
that compares favourably to many mass-produced, imported, shop-bought
items.
Because each item is made to order, it can be made to your exact sizes - particularly useful for small or large spaces.
Our designs feature
simple forms
that allow the natural features of the
wood
to show through. We like to use burr or pippy oak and 'flamed'
quarter-sawn oak to add interest.
Most of our furniture is made from
English or Scottish oak, but we use a variety of locally sourced native
hardwoods. Rob’s biggest design influence comes from the international
Arts & Crafts movement of the
turn of the 19th Century – including Gustav Stickley, Lutyens and Charles
Rennie
MacKintosh.
